WWDC22 - Apple Event

Apple confirmed in April that WWDC 2022 will take place in early June, with the event taking place from June 6 to June 10. Due to the current global health crisis, the 33rd Worldwide Developers Conference will be a digital-only event with no physical gathering.

For the same reason, WWDC 2020 and WWDC 2021 were both hosted online, and the 2022 event will follow the same structure as the previous two years. WWDC 2022 will be a free event for all developers, and because it will be held online, developers from all over the world will be able to attend to get early access to future versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS, as well as interact with Apple engineers through engineering sessions, one-on-one lab appointments, and the Apple Developer Forums.

Apple is also arranging an in-person gathering for certain developers and students at the Apple Park site in Cupertino, California, where they will be able to see the WWDC keynote tape. Developers and students will be able to apply for this invitation-only event. Apple is also offering a Swift Student Challenge this year, with WWDC 2022 goodies as a prize.

Each year, Apple gives a keynote session to kick off the Worldwide Developers Conference, introducing new software and, sometimes, new hardware. Apple's 2020 and 2021 presentations were software-only, with no hardware debuts, so it's unclear whether we'll see hardware this year.

The event will be broadcast live on Apple.com, Apple Developer app, Apple Developer website, Apple TV, and YouTube.

The Worldwide Developers Conference typically takes place during the first or second week of June, and this year is no exception, running from Monday, June 6 through Friday, June 10. The keynote event will take place on Monday, June 6 with the livestream kicking off at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.

How to Watch the WWDC Keynote

Ahead of WWDC, Apple has a YouTube live stream where viewers can sign up to get a reminder when the event begins. The keynote event is set to take place on Monday, June 6 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.

Along with streaming the event on YouTube, Apple also plans to make the WWDC 2022 keynote available through the Events website and the Apple TV app. Apple also has a dedicated Events page for WWDC 2022, which is where you can find the live stream on Monday.
